Diamond Lil - 16hh 4 yr old Hanoverian Bay Mare
Diamond Lil (Lily) is an outstanding pink papered Hanoverian with top class breeding from a sire line of world importance, including the highly sought after Warkant and the great Don Schufero, two of the most successful international stallions who are recognised within the breed as sires who can be relied upon for superior heritability.
Her sire, Diamond Hit, needs no introduction, producing one highlight after the other. He became Reserve Champion at the 2002 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden and at the 2002 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. The year prior, he was reserve regional and reserve Bundeschampion in the four-year old stallion division. Based on his own performances and on those of his offspring, Diamond Hit currently captures eight place on the ranking of all German breeding stallions.
Lily has had plenty of exposure to the competition environment gaining an Elite Premium at the BEF Futurity gradings in 2010. She was the highest scoring 2 yr old in 2010 with an impressive 9.5 for paces. The judges comments include; 'beautiful topline, harmonious, clear rhythm and overtrack, good use of body, expressive, elevated rhythmical and balanced.' In 2011 she was presented for studbook inspection and placed in the Head Stud Book as an Elite Candidate mare.
Lily has a wonderful nature and seeks partnership with her handler. She is responsive to the aids and fully commits herself to the training process. In a recent training session she was highly commended by a top British Dressage coach who commented; ‘she is a beautiful genuine young mare with excellent paces. She has great potential and given time to develop will excel in the future'. She has also just begun hacking out quietly in company.
Lily is ready to commence her competition campaign and is currently aimed at the British Dressage Young Horse Qualifiers 2012.
